What The Person Who Built Your Affiliate Website Forgot To Tell You About Making Money Online
Imagine making a million dollars a year on the internet. Can you picture it? The freedom you would have; freedom of time, freedom of money, freedom of worries. What about a million dollars a month on the internet, is it possible? Can you even imagine it? The stigma created with the internet and its possibilities are so alluring, seductive, mesmerizing even. The ability to make large sums of money, without having talk to anyone, from the comfort of your home, all at your own leisure provides the hook and the noose for all aspiring internet marketers. The desire to have more MONEY, spend more time with the family, and to work from anywhere lures in millions of novice marketers per year, 95% of which learn the hard way that the internet is not always what it seems.
In the offline world there are a lot of factors that can swing customers into your favor, everything from the brand, to the appearance of the packaging or personnel. I recently read an article that theorized sales would increase when an individual was lightly touched by the sales person. All of these are mute points in the online world. In the online world you only have one weapon in your arsenal. This weapon has to lure people to your site or affiliate site, entice people into purchasing, and draw them back again for more. This weapon is your words. Your words: your style, your diction, and your information are all you have to make the sale.
I guess the one million dollar question is how do you sell “internet marketing for dummies”, or whatever your selling, when a million other people are selling the same thing? How do you make a person click on your affiliate link as oppose to that of your fellow marketers. The answer is simple really, you must become in tune with your customers emotions. Everyone operates on an emotional level, even a logical thinker functions based on a desired emotion that their using their logic to attain. In order to end in a successful transaction you must satisfy your readers emotions, your ad copy must make them believe that your product will literally fend away their fears or push them toward their greatest desire.
Irregardless of the method you choose to reach your customers, you must have a motivating ad and a motivating sales page. Your sales page must consist of the following:
1) A shocking, motivating, and informative title-give this part a lot of thought!
2) Ad copy that discusses a customers dreams and what they would do if they were fulfilled.
3) A paragraph that discusses “a dream deferred” and the sorrow included with it.
4) Hope that they can get that dream, only through your product (a beacon of light)
5) A closing door to their dream, another fading opportunity (limited time offer).
If you implement these basic sales copy rules you will entice your customers into trying your product. AS you become more in tune with your customers wants and needs, sales copy becomes easier. You will eventually be able to weave an amazing sales copy that addresses your customer’s fears and desires, but most importantly show how your product addresses these same fears and desires. Try to use truthful illustrations of others who have used the product and altered their life. Make sure in the end that they believe you are worth the risk and ultimately the sale will be yours.
